Role Summary:
The Sr HR Manager is the HR leader responsible for our consumer flexibles plant and its ~450 employees. The Sr HR Manager will lead a small HR team to help drive a positive and productive culture, build an environment of trust and accountability, and deliver HR excellence and process improvement.

This role is the primary point of contact for managers and employees and provides expertise and guidance in the areas of culture and performance, talent management, talent development and learning, compensation, conflict management, employee relations, and leadership coaching. The Sr HR Manager executes the HR strategy in support of the client’s business objectives and the Mondi HR strategy and objectives and is a connected partner for the site’s leadership team.

Your Mission:
• Serve as a strong functional partner to the Jackson MD and drive cohesive decision-making.
• Foster collaboration and drive the development and execution of key HR initiatives that align with business goals and Mondi HR strategy.
• Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to managers and employees focusing on employee advocacy and engagement, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention, and workplace investigations.
• Act as the first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues.
• Partner closely with the MD, HR Business Partner/Americas Region HR Leader, and HR CoE professionals to drive a cohesive and aligned HR agenda.
• Provide advice and counsel to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices.
• Lead key HR processes including performance management, talent management, payroll, compensation planning, onboarding, hiring, and training and development.
• Align on and execute relevant HR projects or initiatives across multiple client groups at the site.
• Provide guidance and leadership to ensure all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated, and resolved.
• Ensure all HR matters are handled fairly and consistently with local laws and regulations.
• Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
• Overall responsibility includes communication responsibility for the site.

Your Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a Human Resources-related area.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional work experience in a client-support HR role, preferably in an industrial environment.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manager role.
• Sound knowledge of employee relations as well as local labor laws and government requirements.
• Developed oral and written communication and diplomacy skills with the ability to influence others.
• Hands-on self-starter with a demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively and work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously.
• Excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational, and change-agent skills.
• Passionate employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization.
• Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels.
• Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness.
• Supportive team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
• Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, and confidentiality.
• Strong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Spanish fluency is a plus.
