Summary:

The Regional Quality Manager coordinates and manages product quality through Quality and Food Safety management systems to ensure compliance with customer, company, legal, and regulatory requirements across the US Paper Bags business. This role supports continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing sites by driving consistent quality standards, transparent reporting, and effective implementation of Mondi Paper Bags quality requirements, contributing to operational efficiency and profitability.

Your Mission:

  • Ensure compliance with Mondi Paper Bags quality reporting requirements and consolidate regional quality reports
  • Support execution of Paper Bags self-assessments and follow-up on action plans
  • Coordinate internal monthly quality meetings and performance reviews
  • Review plant quality KPIs and budgets for consistency and feasibility
  • Support Food Safety and SQF activities, including internal audits and external audit support
  • Act as regional point of contact for regulatory and compliance topics
  • Coordinate and support plant certifications such as ISO 14001, SFI, BRC, and ISO 22000
  • Ensure clear and consistent quality communication between Vienna Corporate and US plants
  • Ensure governance and deployment of a Digital Quality Management system to record quality checks
  • Support plants in managing critical or major customer complaints, including root cause analysis
  • Support onboarding and training of new Quality Managers, Supervisors, or Coordinators
  • Provide regional quality oversight across four US Paper Bags plants: Romeoville, Salt Lake City, Eastman, and Pittsburgh
  • Collaborate with plant leadership, corporate teams, suppliers, customers, and certification bodies

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; technical, engineering, or quality-related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality and/or Food Safety Management Systems in a manufacturing environment; multi-site experience preferred
  • Proven experience managing internal, customer, and third-party audits, product quality issues, and customer complaint investigations
  • Experience using quality KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards to drive performance and continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence across functions without direct authority
  • Hands-on experience with certifications such as SQF, BRC, and ISO 22000
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, multi-site environment

Our Offer:

  • Base salary range of $105K – $135K, with variable bonus
  • Frequent travel within the United States (approximately 60%)
