Summary:

The Quality Coordinator will support our manufacturing facility in Clinton, PA and is responsible for the support of the Quality Management System/Process Improvement and continued food safety certification in the Clinton facility. In addition, the Quality Coordinator will serve as a resource to the Quality Manager on all quality, process improvement and Food safety issues. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

Your Mission:

  • Assist in managing external and internal quality issues
  • Assist in leading the corrective action process
  • Daily supervision of quality-related activities
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Draft and review documents
  • Support the Continuous Improvement program and processes
  • Back-up SQF practitioner and HACCP coordinator
  • Oversee the development, implementation review and maintenance of the SQF system, including food safety fundamentals, and the food safety plan
  • The SQF shall communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF system
  • Assist in the disposition of all materials (raw, in-process, customer returns) on quality hold
  • Communicate with customers and company management on complaints and project activity
  • Present, train and lead groups as part of the process improvement events
  • Lead employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity
  • Maintain all required logs and reporting documents and adhere to all safety regulations, procedures and policies
  • Train, motivate, and mentor employees (both new and existing employees)
  • Enforce Company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Polices (GMPs) by ensuring employees understand and follow rules, address non-compliance on the shift in which it occurs, and document issues for further action
  • Maintain a positive working environment among employees and co-workers

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experience
  • 1-3 years experience in Quality Management Systems / Food Safety required
  • Experience in Document Control
  • Previous Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma management or other relevant continuous improvement methods preferred
  • Must complete and pass the HACCP course and have SQF practitioner training
  • Industrial Safety Training preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
  • Ability to travel as required, local and/or domestic
  • SAP knowledge and technical training is preferred
