Your Mission

  • Manages thousands of items from machine parts to janitorial supplies and services to keep the plant operational 
  • Minimize production downtime by ensuring that critical spare parts for production machinery are always in stock to prevent costly work stoppages  
  • Processes requisitions frequently & timely; many will require the buyer’s research & feedback to multiple requestors
  • Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts for competitive pricing on non-stock & stock items, as well as maintenance services
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Building partnerships with global, local & specialized suppliers to ensure priority delivery during emergency breakdowns
  • Operational Collaboration: Works closely with maintenance supervisors, engineers, and department contacts to determine operational needs.  Frequent and excellent communication skills required
  • Requests and reviews written quotations for critical legal attributes per Mondi Procurement policies
  • Leadership and action approach to resolve discrepancies and customer complaints timely
  • Applies Total Cost of Ownership analysis to evaluate quotes, factoring PM, logistics and other costs
  • SAP Master Data Maintenance:  Responsible for end-to-end maintenance of SAP Purchasing Info Records and Conditions Records for all assigned MRO suppliers 
  • Contractual Compliance: Validates and Synchronizes SAP price lists, source lists against current supplier contracts and price adjustments.  Executes Mass Maintenance as required to reflect price changes across many MRO items
  • Financial Accuracy: Frequently collaborates with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice pricing discrepancies, tax and banking changes to owned suppliers by proactively auditing and correcting outdated SAP price conditions, minimizing ‘blocked’ invoices and payment delays
  • Process-focused.  Enforce Mondi’s chemical approval protocols by verifying chemical approval before Procurement
  • Manages supplier risk by collecting & auditing Certificates of Insurance (COI) to ensure full compliance with company standards. Insurance (COI) for all managed MRO suppliers and service providers

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a purchasing or business administration field
  • Two (2) to Three (3) years of MRO purchasing experience in a commercial environment
  • Experience in negotiations and conducting meetings
  • SAP Knowledge highly desired
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment with people at all organizational levels 
  • Able to prioritize and manage workflow while ensuring compliance with policy and directives
  • As a representative to suppliers, customers and community, professional attire, conduct and a strong sense of exemplary business ethics are required
