Job Summary:

Inspects finished bags coming off of the Ending machines and ensures bags are packaged according to customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complies with safety rules, lockout-tagout procedures, and quality standards.
  • Accurately reads and interprets plant order information, completing forms on time.
  • Follows SQF policies, including food safety, housekeeping, and personal hygiene.
  • Retrieves materials for palletizing finished bags and maintains productivity goals.
  • Inspects completed bags for conformance to specifications and reports nonconformance.
  • Removes nonconforming bags, counts scrap, and performs rework as needed.
  • Performs housekeeping duties and ensures a clean work area.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for handling equipment and machinery.
  • Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Able to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
  • Flexible to work 8-12 hour shifts, rotating days off, weekends, overnight shifts, and overtime as needed.
