Job Summary
The Finance Director is a strategic business partner and member of the local Mondi Jackson leadership team reporting to the Managing Director. This role will lead the finance team and oversee finance, accounting and procurement functions, ensuring financial excellence within the facility consisting of two plants in the Jackson, MO area totaling approximately 450 employees and $200M in revenue. The Finance Director plays a pivotal role in the development of both long-term and short-term strategies to drive profitability, optimize resources and support long-term business growth.
Your Mission
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the MD about future direction, growth opportunities, and related topics.
- Collaborate with peers and other stakeholders to align strategies and goals to meet local objectives within the context of the broader Group strategy.
- Using KPI's, forecasts, and market intelligence, collaborate with fellow site leadership to support decision making with robust financial analysis.
- Provide financial leadership overseeing the planning/budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes within corporate policies and standards and governmental regulatory requirements.
- Lead and develop a multi-functional team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives that enhance financial and operational performance to maximize profitability, support sustainability while not compromising safety and employee engagement.
Your Profile
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in finance and operational work, including 3+ years of people management experience
- Demonstrated track record of increased scope and responsibilities within the broad finance beyond accounting to include exposure to profit and loss, balance sheet and other organizational functions, ideally with direct people leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Working knowledge in the use of KPI's, processes, tools, and technology to enhance decision making, strategic planning and problem solving.
- Possess strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to synthesize information and present actionable business plans.
- Able to communicate and work effectively across all levels of the organization (operations, supply chain, procurement, etc.), from corporate leaders to hourly staff on the floor.
- Strategic growth mindset and is competent and trusted in finance, with enough technical capability to support and step in for the team if needed.
- Ability to translate business opportunities into actionable outcomes that create value for the organization.
- Leadership style that engages and inspires, develops talent, creates accountability.
