The Facility Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the manufacturing plant, including production areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other facility spaces. This role supports a safe and efficient workplace by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
YOUR MISSION:
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in production and non-production areas.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, and locker rooms daily.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
- Wipe down and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including doorknobs, handles, switches, and handrails.
- Clean windows and mirrors as needed.
- Refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper dispensers.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify supervisor when items are needed.
- Reports facility damage.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including wearing PPE as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned (i.e. assist with special cleaning projects such as deep cleans or spill response).
YOUR PROFILE:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Strong detail orientation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
- Able to work 6 am – 2pm
