Your mission

  • Set-up and monitor various computerized machinery to produce plastic film and/or plastic bags in compliance with given specifications 
  • Perform work in a safe manner following all Safety procedures
  • Productivity support Zero Tolerance policy, Kaizen programs and be a team player
  • Perform operations such as quality control check of product, changing gears, inserting welding jaws, adjusting cameras, changing tooling and/or mechanical parts, maintaining machine settings, loading and unloading plastic rolls
  • Responsible for following the process control strategies through defined centerline operating conditions and properly responding to feedback from online (e.g. A/V Alarms) and offline process control indicators (e.g. Quality Window)
  • In the case of non-conforming products or processes, utilize existing controlled information to troubleshoot the problem
  • Operations will include the use of small machine tools 
  • Materials used during the operations will include various resins and/or plastic film, solvents (glue, hardeners, etc.) and tapes
  • Inventory control and receiving of raw materials
  • Fill out quality and productivity forms accurately 
  • May be required to perform other duties and/or operate other equipment as requested
  • Oversee hazardous waste satellite / accumulation areas and ensure regulatory compliance

Your profile

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in machine operating or extrusion is preferred
  • Must meet physical requirements of the position, lift up to 50 pounds manually (or 100 pounds with help) on a regular basis
  • Must be able to perform duties at heights of 40-50 feet
  • Forklift experience preferred 
  • Mechanical skills, good hand eye coordination
  • 12-hour rotating swing shift schedule (2 week rotation)
