Job Summary:
The Logistics Service role supports Mondi’s North American operations and sales by managing global supply chains and ensuring seamless import shipments from Europe and Asia. Responsibilities include coordinating transportation across multiple modes, overseeing shipments to U.S. distribution centers, and handling cross-border logistics into Canada and Mexico. As experience grows, the role may involve direct customer engagement, inventory management, and supply chain problem-solving. Training is provided onsite, with potential for remote work, and obtaining a U.S. Customs Broker’s license is encouraged.
Your Mission:
- Manage the flow of import and export documentation and recordkeeping
- Manage US inventories; handle the arrival of replenishment stocks and the outflow of goods
- Arrange the release of inventory from stock and delivery to customers, including trucking as needed.
- Work closely with the team for reasonable sharing of daily responsibilities & workload, but also be cross-trained to cover for sick time or vacations
- Engage closely with transport, warehouse, brokerage, and other vendors intrinsic to our success
- For key accounts, manage supply chain summaries of goods in transit, stock, etc. In most cases this will also require presenting regular telephone conferences with the customer, sales, and usually production personnel.
- Interface routinely with production teams at our many EU/Asian plants in regards productions, shipments, and other customer-needed information.
- Provide best-in-class service not only to customers, but to the Mondi plants relying on us to be successful in US/CA
Your Profile:
- High School degree required, equivalent experience or college degree preferred
- Ability to work independently, to self-prioritize, and manage time
- Strong communication skills, willingness to engage with customers & colleagues
- Detail oriented worker, someone who checks things twice before they call it done
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft products (particularly Excel)
- Familiarity with SAP is beneficial, but not required
