Your Mission
Drive all aspects of quality in the conversion department
Responsible for driving the development of processes and systems
active participant and supported for all quality assurance capability across the facility through creation and development of training, participating and co-leading site quality teams
Responsible for reducing loss, cost and product/process defects
Set-up and monitor various computerized machinery to produce flexible packaging.
Perform operations such as quality control check of product, changing gears, inserting welding jaws, adjusting cameras, changing tooling and/or mechanical parts, maintaining machine settings, loading and unloading plastic rolls
Troubleshooting on machines and/or recipes.
Review and implement feedback from line operators to improve existing centerline operating conditions
In the case of non-conforming products or processes, utilize existing controlled information to troubleshoot the problem, including but not limited to: operating centerlines, work instructions, on-line process control data, offline process control data, FMEA
May be required to operate a forklift.
Accurate completion of various reports including daily production reports and specification sheets
Your Profile
At minimum, High School Diploma or GED
At minimum, three (3) years of converting experience
Able to learn and contribute to the development of new processes for converting
Mechanical skills, good hand and eye coordination
Self-motivated and well organized
Able to travel both domestic and foreign as necessary
Knowledge and ability to make ordinary set-ups and maintain tolerances per given specifications
Quality driven with the ability to work with limited supervision
Strong computer skills with experience in Quality windows and SAP.
