Your Mission
- Support process improvements, site safety, waste, quality, and productivity performance
- Optimize process through use of SPC and internal trials
- Support manufacturing and maintenance personnel as needed to resolve process, quality, and machine issues
- Complete continuous improvement projects as identified or assigned for cost reduction and/or increasing product value
- Conduct process and product data analyses to routinely monitor process capability.
- Maintain process control database (Quality Windows)
- Technical liaison between manufacturing facility and customers as well as manufacturing facility and suppliers
- Source new tooling and equipment; issue Purchase Requisitions for approval
- Recommend machine improvements or replacements based on data and experience
- Project Management, measure project status through use of timelines and change management, oversee cost reduction through use of calculations, reports, and production figures
- Assist project personnel throughout the process of capital projects
- Support manufacturing personnel in identifying root cause and developing corrective/preventative actions associated with both customer and internal complaints
- Support the commercialization of new products, processes, and equipment
- Assist in the development of Work Instructions (WI)
- Support Improvements in productivity, lower waste, or improved quality, which can be directly attributed to process engineering studies and implementation
Your Profile
- Engineer education and/or training required, basic 4-year formal engineering degree or equivalent manufacturing experience with technical training; preferably mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering discipline
- Basic AutoCAD skills and ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Core mathematics skills including ability to utilize statistics
- Knowledge of Process Data Software Platforms
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
- Strong written and oral communications skills; ability to write effective reports and present findings
- Familiar with the requirements of a 24 x 7 manufacturing environment
- Ability to learn, understand, and work with existing and/or new manufacturing equipment/processes
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
- Utilization and effectiveness as a problem solver when processing problems are encountered
- Project management certification desired
- Previous experience working with integrating electrical and mechanical systems is a plus
- On-Call off hours availability if needed
- Ability to travel when necessary to, but not limited to, customer sites, supplier sites, trade shows, other Mondi sites, etc.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
